Additional Information Balikpapan is easily accessible from Jakarta by plane. Include Garuda flies eight times a day directly to and from Jakarta. Between Balikpapan and Makassar (Sulawesi) Garuda flies twice daily Directly.
There is no direct connection to Bali, there is always a transition need, usually via Jakarta.
